Why do laptops come in any shape other than a rectangular box? Or at the very least, rounded-edge boxes. I own an Apple. I own it because it doesn't look like a pile of barf. Symmetry. Reduction. Simplicity. Are these things really so hard for people to do? Steal! Steal these things when someone finally does them right!

• magnetic power cord (but supply 2 so I can leave one at home)
• built-in camera
• slot-loading DVD drive
• auto-detecting analog/digital output jack
• simple keyboard layout with no extra crap
• all ports on the side (no legacy ports! this is 2006)
• a symmetrical touchpad that actually works

Really, none of this is hard to do. Most of it is the chassis, really. If anyone knows where I can find a company willing to make me a custom chassis, please let me know.
